Peter Crouch backs Liverpool to sign ‘unbelievable’ talent in the summer

Peter Crouch has suggested in the that Liverpool should target Dortmund talent Jude Bellingham in the summer.

The 18-year-old has enjoyed a meteoric rise since swapping Birmingham for the Bundesliga in July 2020.

Bellingham is on the radar at several top European clubs and the race could be on during the summer.

Liverpool are getting to the stage where they could need some midfield reinforcements.

Jordan Henderson and Fabinho are pretty regular picks but Thiago Alcantara has struggled with injuries.

Then there is Naby Keita who has also struggled with his fitness and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain.

Liverpool may have one eye on the future though and a player to feature alongside Curtis Jones and Harvey Elliott may be sought.

Bellingham would be a seriously good signing for the Reds and whoever lands him will send out a real statement.

Crouch believes Liverpool should be right at the front of the queue for his signature.

Next summer will be interesting. Liverpool, I feel are due a big one and they’ll possibly look for something extra in midfield.

“Jude Bellingham would fit in perfectly, as long as it’s not at the detriment of Harvey Elliott and Curtis Jones.”

Exciting: Bellingham would be game-changer for Liverpool

As one of the top talent in world football, it seems almost certain that the former Premier League champions will have tabs on Bellingham.

Despite his tender years, he has made for Dortmund and is thriving in one of Europe’s top teams.

He was a peripheral figure for England at Euro 2020 but come to the World Cup next year, he may just be a regular in the team.

Gary Lineker previously called Bellingham ‘ and it seems only natural that Klopp would welcome him as part of his squad.
