Peter Crouch says West Ham man’s efforts this season have been nothing short of ‘incredible’

West Ham United manager David Moyes has been praised by Peter Crouch, who believes his efforts in rebuilding the Hammers have been “incredible”.

The east Londoners struggled last year and finished 16th in the Premier League table, just five points above the relegation zone.

Far from battling relegation once again, the Hammers have enjoyed an amazing season and remain firmly on track for a top-four finish.

In his column, Crouch was asked which teams he thought would finish in the Champions League places, and he’s confident West Ham will get the job done.

“I’m going to answer this another way: it would be some achievement if West Ham do it,” he replied.

“Their fans have been through so much and it has always felt like a drama was around the corner.

“So many times down the years, I didn’t see the trust that should be there between supporters and a team.

“What David Moyes has done to rebuild the situation is incredible.

“When he was at Everton, he had a squad full of outstanding characters and he has got that with West Ham now.

“You watch them and see players who are ready to put their bodies on the line. They will go the distance in this race.”

West Ham are back in action on Saturday, travelling to Newcastle United for the day’s early league kickoff.
