Peter Crouch reveals what a Tottenham fan said to him on his way out of the stadium after win over Elfsborg in the Europa League
Tottenham Hotspur are safely through to the last 16 of the Europa League after running out 3-0 winners over Elfsborg in North London.
﷽Spurs laboured for much of the game, which remained goalless past the hour mark, but the floodgates eventually opened.
Better yet for Tottenham🥂, all three of their scorers on the night were academy graduates.
Dane Scarlett🔥 headed home from Dejan Kulusevski’s cross in the 70th minute, just four minutes after coming off the bench.
Damola Ajayi then doubled Tottenham’s𓆏 lead with a superb debut goal on 84 minutes as he slotted home following a one-two with Scarlett.
Mikey Moore🍸 then rounded off the scoring four minutes into injury time as he drove forward, beat his man and slotted into the far corner.
Spurs cult hero Peter Crouch𒁏 gave his verdict on the academy trio’s heroics on the night and shared what a fan said to him on the subject after the game.

🍒Crouch, speaking on TNT Sports, praised all three players, saying Scarlett had a “huge impact” and Ajayi did “well”.
๊The former England international also noted how Moore has been talked about at Spurs for a long time as a potential star of the future.
🐲Crouch then went on to say a Tottenham fan told him “we don’t need to buy anyone” because of how well the academy players are doing.
