Peter Crouch predicts England v Germany result, makes Harry Kane claim

Peter Crouch is predicting an England win over Germany on Tuesday night at Euro 2020 and has faith Tottenham star Harry Kane will net his first goal of the tournament.

England face rivals Germany tonight at Wembley Stadium in the Euros Round of 16.

They know a win will see them advance in the favourable side of the draw, but they can’t take their eyes off the ball ahead of a showdown with tough opposition Germany. In addition, there has already been some shock exits with the likes of France and the Netherlands being dumped out.

Crouch, who is a former England international, is backing Three Lions captain Kane to turn up for the big occasion.

Kane is under the spotlight after failing to score in the group stages. However, the 27-year-old centre-forward is a proven goalscorer that finished as the Golden Boot winner in the previous World Cup.

“I have a strong feeling we are going to take off like we did at the World Cup three years ago and the country is desperate to get behind the team,” Crouch told the .

“It’s going to be tight but I believe Harry Kane will score his first of the tournament and we’ll go to the quarter-finals.”

England have everything chance to win if Kane shows Tottenham form

England fans have everything reason to be hopeful in Kane.

Firstly, he’s shown that he can score goals in an England shirt. It’s been three relatively low-key performances to start this summer’s tournament, so surely he’s burst into life at some point. Secondly, he went into the Euros off the back of a 33-goal campaign with his club Spurs. Finally, he’s still got the trust of his international teammates and manager.
