Peter Crouch names the three former Tottenham players who were simply ‘amazing’ in training
Former Tottenham Hotspur striker Peter Crouch has now been rolling back the years, naming three players who were amazing in training.
Crouch, who played for Spurs on 93 occasions, scoring 24 goals, enjoyed some excellent years in North London.

The striker was a pillar of Harry Redknapp’s side who enjoyed some memorable nights in the Champions League at White Hart Lane.
On reflection, Redknapp did have something of a star-studded squad at Tottenham, and it is perhaps a surprise that they didn’t achieve more together.
That being said, Peter Crouch has now been recalling a few stories from that era on his .
Crouch reminisced about a time when he was injured and watching Tottenham training alongside his manager, Redknapp.
And as well as sharing a frustration that Robbie Keane once had, he also spoke about a few players who used to dazzle behind the scenes.
Peter Crouch says he was blown away by Tottenham trio in training
Speaking on the podcast, Crouch said that Gareth Bale, Luka Modric and Rafael van der Vaart were simply amazing to watch.
He recalled: “I remember standing on the sidelines with Harry [Redknapp] once because I was injured and he was looking at training and going this is a privilege.

“We had Bale, Modric, Van der Vaart. It was just like amazing to watch.
“I always remember Keano saying we need to do more tactics, we need to do more shape and patterns of play. This was in a meeting.
“And Harry was like hold on, you want me to tell Luka Modric how to pass it? You want to tell Van de Vaart where to stand? You want me to tell Defoe how to score goals? Go and enjoy it!”
Of course, Crouch would probably admit that a couple of those names would still dazzle in Tottenham training today.
Although Ange Postecoglou is building an excellent young squad, the thought of one more Luka Modric season is more than appealing.
But switching the focus to the here and now, Tottenham do have an incredibly important game against Aston Villa on Sunday.
And it seems as if there’s an outside chance of an important player returning ahead of schedule.
