Peter Crouch backs Tottenham star Harry Kane for ‘statue outside the stadium’
Peter Crouch has backed Harry Kane to ignore the advances of Real Madrid and stay with Tottenham for the foreseeable.
During an interview with the , Crouch claimed that Kane would relish the chance to win silverware with Spurs, rather than in Spain.
As one of Europe’s top strikers, Kane will naturally be linked with bigger clubs than Tottenham.
The England captain is enjoying another successful campaign and with Tottenham in the League Cup Final, a trophy could be on the horizon.

Crouch believes it could be just the tonic to entice Kane into sticking around in North London.
“I think if you win something at Tottenham, it’s going to mean 10 times more than going to Real Madrid and winning something.
“He’s a top player and he deserves the best so nobody can begrudge him anything if he wanted to move.
“I just like if he thinks there’s a chance of winning something at Tottenham I think it would mean far more to him that if he went somewhere and won a league title in another country.
“If he stays at Tottenham and he manages to win something, they’ll have a statue build for him, won’t they?”
TBR View: Can Tottenham keep hold of Kane?
It has to be said that it seems as though they can.
Kane has been a mainstay in the Tottenham team for many years now and under Jose Mourinho, a trophy is a real possibility.

With 207 goals in 315 appearances, he is worshipped by the Tottenham faithful and right now there is no need for the player to seek a move.
At 27 there is no real rush for Kane to head elsewhere and this season could be the year in which Spurs lift a trophy.
Kane has 19 goals to his name and at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, his place in the team isn’t in any doubt.
Moving to Real Madrid shouldn’t be the be-all and end-all and Crouch is right to suggest that Kane should go in search of icon status at Tottenham.
