Perry Groves says £65m Arsenal target ‘has gone onto a different level’

Arsenal are finally up and running in the summer transfer window, with one senior signing finally over the line.

The Gunners recently signed Italy international defender Riccardo♔ 🔯Calafiori from Bologna in a de🐷al said to b⭕e worth £42million.

Arsenal also appear to be making good progress in pursuit of Real Sociedad and Spa🐲in midfielder Mikel Merino.

A recent report claimed that the Gunners are “set to complete” a deal with the Liga out🙈fit worth around £34million plus bonuses.

Arsenal are likel♓y to look at strengthening their attacking ranks in the coming weeks, as they currently lack an out-and-out No 9.

Highbury legend Perry Groves has now spoken highly about a striker said to be wanted by both the Gunners and arch-rivals Tottenham Hotspur.

Perry Groves praises Arsenal and Tottenham target Dominic Solanke

The player in question is Dominic Solanke, who was in impressive form for Bournemouth last season.

In June, reported that Arsenal had identified the 26-year-old as a Benjam🧔in Sesko alt🌼ernative.

However, Spurs have now emerged📖 as suitors, Fabrizio Romano reporting that they are now mulling over a mo🍃ve for the England man.

Groves, speaking on talkSPORT, said he “wouldn’t be averse”൲ to Solanke at Arsenal𓂃, adding that he would be an upgrade on Richarlison at Tottenham.

“In the first season in the Premier League, I thin𒐪k he got six, just looked all right, and he has gone onto a different level,” said Groves.

“So, for the way that Postecoglou wants to play and his high p🤪ress that he do🌳es, but his all-round game has improved and his finishing has improved. He has got more clinical.

“And I mentioned it about Arsenal obviously needin👍g a centre-forward, and it’s been talked about Ivan Toney, and 📖I actually said about Isak, about Osimhen.

“And I actually did say I wouldn’t be adverse to Dominic Solanke. I got a ඣbit of stick from the Arsenal fans, but I said I wouldn’t be averse to Domin🧸ic Solanke.

“He is sort ᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚ⁤⁤⁤⁤ᩚ⁤⁤⁤⁤ᩚ⁤⁤⁤ღ⁤ᩚ𒀱ᩚᩚᩚof at the right age, 26, 27. Well, he’s an upgrade on Richarlison.”

Solanke boasts £65m price tag

Solanke has certainly gone from strength to strength in the Premier League for Bournemouth,💛 and this summer would be the best opportunity for play𓆉er and club to make the most of their high stock.

It has been reported that the Cherries want £65million for Solanke, so it remains to be seen whether Arsenal or T🐟ottenham will make their move, or at least 🀅try to negotiate the fee down.
