‘Perhaps his best 90 minutes so far’: Celtic 26-year-old hailed after ‘almost perfect’ Old Firm display

Celtic were simply sensational on Wednesday night as they hammered Rangers 3-0 at Parkhead.

The Hoops went ahead after just five minutes, Reo Hatate rifling an angled shot inside the post.

The 24-year-old then grabbed his second against the Gers in the 41st minute.

Hatate curled an effort past Allan McGregor from the right side of the penalty area.

And on the stroke of half time, the Rangers defence was caught napping as Liel Abada made it three.

Hatate looped over a cross from near the corner flag on the left, and his teammate snuck in to prod home.

Every Celtic player impressed on the night as the Bhoys went top of the Scottish Premiership table.

And Josip Juranovic earned some particularly bright reviews for his Old Firm masterclass.

“A terrific performance both offensively and defensively,” wrote , who gave him 9/10.

“Desperate to burst forward and expertly marshalled Ryan Kent in the second 45 minutes.”

The also gave the 26-year-old 9/10, writing: “Croatian was magnificent.

“Was quick onto the offensive and also had the pace to cover back against Kent at right back.

“An almost perfect performance.”

Meanwhile, gave Juranovic 8/10.

“Josip Juranovic, both defensively and in supplementing Celtic’s breathless attacking play – especially in the remarkably one-sided first half – produced perhaps his best 90 minutes so far,” they wrote.

Juranovic only joined Celtic last summer, but he’s already very much on the way to becoming a Parkhead fan favourite.

Obviously he’s not the only one – plenty of Bhoys are staking claims this term with their performances, particularly last night.
