‘Perfection’…BBC pundit amazed by 26-year-old Arsenal player during Luton clash
Matthew Upson described the cross from Ben White to set up Gabriel Jesus for the second Arsenal goal against Luton Town on Tuesday as perfection.
ꦇUpson was speaking to after the Brazilian headed home from close range to put the Gunners back in front just before the break.
Ben White made his return to the starting lineup against the Hatters, with Takehiro Tomiyasu missing out through injury.

💙It was a tricky tie for Arsenal. Luton were certainly up for the game. And they really took the game to the Premier League leaders. But their quality shone through in a couple of key moments in the first-half.
♔It was Gabriel Jesus who put Arsenal 2-1 ahead shortly before the half-time whistle. It was one of the simpler finishes Jesus will have in his career. But that was because of the quality of the cross from Ben White.

White has had to be a little patient due to the impressive recent form of Tomiyasu😼. But he reminded everyone of how influential he can be, particularly when he gets the opportunity to link up with Bukayo Saka.
𒐪The pair have formed such a brilliant partnership on that flank. So it was hardly surprising that it was White and Saka who set up Arsenal’s two goals during the first-half at Kenilworth Road.
ꦦArsenal will hope that Tomiyasu’s injury is not serious. But it says something that they have a player of White’s quality to bring in. And the transition is seamless at this stage.
