Pep Guardiola’s January transfer plans put pressure on Manchester City starlet
Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola will reportedly n🌠ot be dipping into the transfer market in January for another centre-hal🌠f.
, the Citizens boss has no𝓀 plans to try and bolster his backline, despite Aymeric Laporte’s long-term injury, John Stones’ fragility and Vincent Kompany having departed in the summer.

Recently, Nicolas Otamendi has been the club’s only senior central defe🐎nder, with Fernandinho having to play out of position alongside the Argentine.
ꩵStones is set to return to action, but there will be question marks o🅷ver his ability to stay fit.
Despite the seeming need to strengthen, Guardiola will not push for𝓀 funds to sign cover, me🔯aning the pressure could be on for young Taylor Harwood-Bellis and Eric Garica to prove themselves.
TBR’s view – Pressure on for City kids
Guardiola’s transfer plans – or rather, his lack of them – suggest the manager ha🧜s faith in the teenagers to pr🥃ovide cover later in the season.

The pressure is definitely on for them though, especially if Stones’ fitness problems continue and Otamendi’s form does not pick up – there💃’s a chance one or both could be thrust into the limeligh🌳t.
Both looked excellent against Preston North End in the Carabao Cup, and Garcia has featured in the 𓆉Premier L🃏eague already (vs Watford), so more chances could well be on the horizon.
