‘People are excited’… Tottenham have two 18-year-old prospects that are making people giddy
Tottenham have already signed Radu Dragusin this month, but there’s still been chat about more defensive arrivals at Spurs.
Indeed, the north London club have been linked to a number of players such as Jarrad Branthwaite as of late as many are suggesting that Spurs still need long-term defensive cover.
However, speaking on , George Sessions has suggested that this deal for Branthwaite may not be on the cards.
Not only did the journalist suggest that the Everton defender may be a tad expensive for Spurs right now, he also pointed out that both Ashley Phillips and Alfie Dorrington are coming through, and people at Spurs are reportedly getting exciting about the potential these two have.

Dorrington and Phillips are getting people excited
Sessions spoke about the two youngsters.
“I don’t think Spurs would pay the price for him (Branthwaite) and a lot of people are excited at the minute about Ashley Phillips and also Alfie Dorrington as well, understandably so because they are two exciting players Spurs have got. They’re both 18 and Jarrad is 20 or 21, and he’s only just getting into the Everton team,” Sessions said.
Future is bright
It has to be said that Tottenham’s defensive future looks very bright.
Micky Van de Ven and Radu Dragusin are both very young players in any case, but Phillips and Dorrington could well be pushing them for a starting spot in the near future.
That’s before we even discuss the impending arrival of Luka Vuskovic next summer, and he is said to be a top prospect in his own right who could potentially overtake the likes of Dorrington and Phillips very quickly.
Tottenham don’t have the most defensive depth in the world right now, but they could soon have the best young defensive stable in the Premier League.
