Pedro Porro forced to deactivate social media account following Tottenham fans’ uproar

Pedro Porro has recently deactivated his X account after he received backlash from a post following Tottenham’s 4-3 defeat to Chelsea on Sunday afternoon.

Tensions continue to be high around Tottenham Hotspur as following their bad spell of form, players are making mistakes off the pitch as much as they are on it.

Ange Postecoglou’s side have just come off the back of a second consecutive defeat in the Premier League, with Chelsea securing a big three points at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Sunday.

Pedro Porro recently shared a post detailing his efforts for the club which received a negative reaction from the Spurs faithful in coming so soon after the Chelsea loss.

It’s now coming to light that Porro has completely deactivated his X account following fansâ€?dismay at the post the Spaniard had shared.

Pedro Porro receives backlash from Tottenham supporters after controversial post

The right-back played the whole 90 minutes in Spursdefeat at the weekend and has been a mainstay in the Tottenham squad.

With the club in a bitter spell at the moment, Porro sharing the post following a defeat to a London rival hasn’t gone down well at all in the Spurs fanbase.

Porro’s reasoning to post this is likely from a section of Spurs fans criticising his performances, which has been all too familiar in recent weeks at the club â€?with Brennan Johnson also deleting his social media account earlier in the season.

It’s not a good look for Porro at this moment in time, or the club for that matter.

Pedro Porro scenario adds to Ange Postecoglou’s altercation with Tottenham fans

It’s no doubt a difficult period to be a Tottenham fan at the moment and it’s clearly having an impact on the players and the manager himself.

Porro’s frustration is shown by even sharing the post, which can give a positive into showing the players do care, but this isn’t the first incident that has put Spurs in the headlines for the wrong reasons.

Postecoglou confronted Tottenham supporters after the 1-0 defeat to Bournemouth last week, and with Porro’s social media blunder it seems like everything is boiling over.

Tottenham’s position in the table says it all and with fixtures coming thick and fast it’s a key moment in the career of the Spurs boss.

The fanbase is divided as Spurs face a difficult patch and out of everyone Postecoglou will want to set things right.
