Pedro Porro and Giovani Lo Celso hail £42m Spurs player’s display for his country
Tottenham Hotspur defender Cristian Romero impressed for his country Friday night as Argentina recorded a comprehensive 3-0 friendly win over El Salvador.
The Spurs🥂 star opened the scoring for the reigning world champions in their exhibition match at the Lincoln Financial Field in Pennsylvania, United States.
Romero๊ broke the deadlock for Argentina in the 16th minute, rising highest above the El Salvador defence and heading home from an Angel Di Maria corner.
♑The Tottenham ace continued to impress after his opener, helping the four-time World Cup winners shut up shop against the world’s 81st-ranked men’s football team.
𓆉Enzo Fernandez doubled Argentina’s advantage not long before the break after a scramble in the box, putting the Albiceleste 2-0 up at the interval.
🐬Romero’s Tottenham teammate Giovani Lo Celso then wrapped up the scoring just six minutes after the restart, finishing off from Lautaro Martinez’s assist.
ꦏAfter the game, Lo Celso was one of the players who responded to Romero’s Instagram post celebrating the victory.
🍎The man posted a picture of himself during the game, along with the caption: “How much I missed you.”
