Pedro Obiang’s inconsistency showed in West Ham loss to Brighton
West Ham United slipped to a 1-0 defeat away to Brighton on Friday night in the Premier League and it was a shocking way to go into an International break.

West Ham midfielder Pedro Obiang is one of those that wasn’t near his best and it’s a familiar problem that he can go from a world-beater one week to fairly non-existent the next.
The 26-year-old drifted through the match against Brighton and was substituted off by Pellegrini in the second-half.
He is in the centre of the park to break up play and also help get the ball up to the attackers, but looked sluggish in his play against Brighton.
Obiang’s use of the ball was slow when in possession and was unable to get a grip on the match while on the pitch.
The Spanish central midfielder appears to throw in a dodgy performance once every five or six games, something that prevents him from becoming a top player.
Obiang can be a wrecking ball when on form in midfield, but a similar story of being too slow and ineffective cropped up again against Brighton.
