Paul Scholes says Bruno Fernandes is ‘right’ after hearing what he said after Man United’s draw with Liverpool

Fernandes put in a fine performance in the middle of the park to hel🧔p United take a 2-2 draw from Anfield.
Indeed, it was Fernandes’ fine pass into Alejandro Garnacho that allowed United to get in behind to equalise and after weeks of frustration, this felt like a turning point for Ruben Amorim’s men.
And speaking to the media after the game, Fernandes made some poignant comments that had club legend Paul Scholes in agreement.

Fernandes was interv𒈔iewed after the game and admitted recent criticism was right. However, he also felt United showed up at ♐Anfield and could have had more.
“We’ve been fairly criticised because the position in the table says it all. We can’t be happy with a draw because we need points more than they need points. I think it’s a fair result, both teams played really good football. But we can’t be sat♋isfied. I’m really upset because if we can show this against Liverpool, why can’t we do this every week?
“I’m frustrated because finally I put in a proper performance, but we need to do this every week. I wasn’t worried about today, I’m more worried about Southampton. We know how tough it is to play against Liverpool. Today was about putting effort into the game, playing with pas🐻sion. It can’t stop here.”
And speaking for , Scholes reacted to the comments from Fernandes and for a change, he agreed with the 🀅United skipper’s assessment.
“The middle of the pitch is the most important area, and today we knew United had half a chance with Mainoo and Ugarte. Fernandes is꧒ right – that’s a proper perforꦛmance,” Scholes said.
“To go to Anfield and go toe-to-toe with the best team. I take more from this performance than the win at Man City; this is the blueprint and how they haveꦯ to go forward.”
