Paul Robinson urges Leeds to sign Tottenham player
he would love to see Leeds United complete a move to sign Tottenham Hotspur and England midfielder Harry Winks this summer – as the Spurs academy graduate continues to struggle for game time.
Winks, 25, broke into the Tottenham side under Mauricio Pochettino and has since clocked up 170 senior outings for the North London club. But this season, the England man has dropped down the pecking order – starting just 20 of 27 games this term.
The signing of Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg has pushed Winks down the pecking order, with both Jose Mourinho and interim boss Ryan Mason preferring to play a more-attacking midfielder alongside the Dane – in Gio Lo Celso or Tanguy Ndombele.
Ex-Tottenham and Leeds goalkeeper Robinson was asked who he would like to see Leeds sign this summer, and he picked Winks as a player he would target at Elland Road with the £50,000-a-week () midfielder potentially headed for an exit.
