Paul Robinson says Leeds United have an absolutely ‘excellent’ young talent in their ranks

🌱Leeds United midfielder Brenden Aaronson has been praised by Paul Robinson ahead of the Whites’ trip to Tottenham Hotspur.

𒊎The Elland Road and White Hart Lane cult hero spoke to the Spurs about Saturday’s Premier League clash in North London.

🐲Spurs lost their last Premier League match, at home to Liverpool, while Jesse Marsch’s side have won their last two.

♍However, both sides dropped out of the Carabao Cup in midweek.

𒁏And with the World Cup looming, both teams will want to end an underwhelming first half of the season on a high note.

ꦚWhen it comes to taking stock as the season grinds to a halt, Leeds will no doubt view Aaronson as one of the biggest positives.

🍌The 22-year-old has not only provided so much creativity for his side, but he’s been consistently great too.

🌳Robinson recognised this as he previewed Saturday’s game at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

♑‘Leeds press high, they press in numbers,’ said the former goalkeeper.

𝓰‘They play differently to how they played under Marcelo Bielsa, who went one-on-one all over the field.

☂‘Jesse Marsch has them pressing in groups, in areas, all triggered by Brenden Aaronson, who has been excellent.’

꧅Last summer was difficult for Leeds, as they lost not one but two world-class players to big-money moves.

ꦕAnd while the Whites brought in several high-profile new signings, the jury’s still out on a few of them.

♒Not Aaronson – he has more than repaid the outlay and faith Leeds put in him.

💧Hopefully the Whites can kick on after the World Cup, because he’s a player many top clubs will be watching.
