Paul Merson shares whether Wolves are now staying up in the Premier League
Wolverhampton Wanderers have had a tough campaign this season, but things are looking up in wake of two wins from their last three Premier League games.
It hasn’t been smooth sailing for Wolves under Vitor Pereira, with some heavy defeats since they took the reins, but there have been improvements.
As well as beating Aston Villa and Bournemouth this month, Wolves also played well against Liverpool and Arsenal, losing by just one goal on both occasions.
Paul Merson has now given his verdict on whether Wolves are now staying up as he predicted how they would fare against Fulham.

Paul Merson says Wolves have all-but sealed Premier League survival
Merson believes Wolves’ victory over Bournemouth has “virtually sealed their survival in the Premier League”.
The pundit also acknowledged how decent Wolves looked against Liverpool and how they were unlucky not to get a point.
Merson concluded by predicting a 1-1 draw against Fulham,
“That win for Wolves against Bournemouth has virtually sealed their survival in the Premier League in my opinion,” Merson wrote on .
“Wolves showed they are a decent team during that game against Liverpool. They were unlucky to not come away with a point, but did show some promise against the league leaders.
“The sending off to Bournemouth helped them in the last game, however, there are no doubts that they are a decent team.
“Matheus Cunha is the X-factor in that team and I have a feeling they can get something from this game. Another point would steer them further away from the bottom three.”
Writing specifically about the Cottagers, Merson said: “Fulham let themselves down against Crystal Palace last weekend. They are a better team than that and they got well beat in that game.
“If I was Fulham, I would have one eye on the FA Cup. I believe they have the team to go on a dream run in the competition.”
How the relegation battle is shaping up
As things stand, Wolves are 17th in the table on 22 points, five ahead of 18th-placed Ipswich Town and 19th-placed Leicester City.

Admittedly, a five-point gap with 12 games to go is not exactly a chasm, but Merson appears confident about Wolves’ chances.
Ipswich, Leicester and Southampton have struggled this season, and Wolves have scored 11 goals more than Leicester, the highest-scoring team in the bottom three.
Southampton’s fate is pretty much sealed, while Leicester and Ipswich were both thrashed in their match-week 26 games.
