Paul Merson says three Man Utd players have to start if Ruben Amorim wants to beat Man City

Manchester United face Manchester City in the Premier League this weekend, and it’s fair to say the Red Devils face an uphill battle heading into this game.

Indeed, United’s recent record against City in the Premieᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚ⁤⁤⁤⁤ᩚ⁤⁤⁤⁤ᩚ⁤⁤⁤⁤ᩚ𒀱ᩚᩚᩚr League isn’t great to say the least.

United have a poor record against City as of late, but they could well be playing the Cityzens at the♔ right🌳 time here.

Indeed, Manchester City’s recent form has been poor, and fans are making their frustrations heard.

United do have a chance here after City’s terrible run of form, but in order to do so, Ruben Amorim will need to get his team selection spot on.

Writing in his column for , Paul Merson has shared some advice for Amorim.

Paul Merson names three Manchester United players who have to start vs Man City

Merson shared hi🅺s verdict on how United should approach this game.

The pundit says that Amad Diallo, Marcus Rashford and Alejandro Garnacho🌳 should all start in the attac🃏k here, claiming that their pace could cause City problems.

“If Ruben Amorim wants to win this game, he must opt for a front-three with the likes of Amad Diallo, Marcus Rashford and Alejandro Garnܫacho. Everybody is exposing City through counter-attacks and this trio can hurt them with their pace,” Merson wrote.

“Like I said, if United can hurt City with pace, they have a chance in this game. They must not sit back and go into a 🥃shell while trying to defend all the time. They must take the game to their rivals. I still think City hold the edge here though.”

How fast are Garnacho, Rashford and Diallo?

Merson picked out Garnacho, Diallo and Rashford as potential threats for t𓂃his game due to their pace, and he’s right to do so.

All three players look absolutely rapid when you see them on the pitc🥂h, and the numbers back it up🌠.

Rashford was Engl𝓡and’s fastest player 🅰at the last World Cup, and the numbers this season𓂃 show that all three players are absolute💯ly rapid.

Rashford and Garnacho are two of the fastest players in the Premier League, while Diallo may be a tad slower, he’s still a real th🎉reat.

Manchester City’s squad is laꦕcking pace at the moment as ageing players like Kyle Walker and Ilkay Gundogan continue to struggle, and if the Red Devils are to have any joy against City, they may well need to ꦆexploit that lack of pace in Pep Guardiola’s side.
