Paul Merson reacts to Michael Keane’s comments on Everton’s Yerry Mina
Paul Merson has that it is a major worry to hear Michael Keane suggest that it can sometimes be difficult to communicate with Everton teammate Yerry Mina.
Keane suggested, , that Mina does not always understand what he is saying while he is still learning the language.

Keane insisted however, that Mina’s English is improving and claimed that he did not believe that it was causing the Toffees any problems.
But with Marco Silva’s men struggling at the start of the season, Merson insisted that it was a worrying comment for Keane to make.

“If I was the manager of the club and I heard my centre-half saying that, I’d be very, very worried,” . “That is the one thing you need is communication. You’ve both got to be singing off the same hymn sheet and I think that’s a massive worry. That would majorly worry me.”
Everton have lost five of their last six league games and go into the international break inside the relegation zone. So you could understand if supporters had concerns about Keane’s partnership with Mina.
However, Mina was arguably one of Everton’s better players in the weekend defeat at Burnley. And it would be no surprise if Silva agreed with Keane that it is not a problem that urgently needs to be addressed.
Of course, the sooner the pair understand each other more clearly, the better. But it is unlikely to be an issue that Silva feels the need to focus on during the international break when he probably has much more pressing concerns.
