Paul Merson predicts Liverpool vs Nottingham Forest result and whether Reds can win the Premier League
Liverpool have raced off the blocks under Arne Slot and picked up maximum points from their first three Premier League games.
The Reds are the only team in the Premier League yet to concede a goal ❀and have scored seven times, most recently brushing aside Manchester United 3-0 at Old Trafford.

And Paul Merson expects the home side to continue their imperious start to the new season as they aim to compete with Arsenal 𓆉and Manchester City for the Premier League title.

While the Arsenal legend admitted that the game is by no means a foregone conclusion, he predicted a 2-0 win for Liverpool ꧂due to their form at the start of the season.
“I expect Liverpool to win, but this could still prove to be 🐭a difficult🍸 game. I like what I’ve seen from Arne Slot’s men so far,” Merson wrote in his column for .
The Reds have been tipped to mount a Premier League title challenge by fans and pundits after the😼ir solid start to the season.
Merson feels they have all the qualities to doꦏ so, but injuries could determine just how far they go in the title race.
He continued: “If they keep all their players fit, and I said th🎃is from day one, I beli𒅌eve they have a chance of winning the league.
“But if they do pick up injuries, it’ll start to look a bit d𝓰ifferent and could raise problems for Slot. If you look at Manchester City, they did not have Kevin De Bruyne or Erling Haaland at times last season and they still won it.
“Unfortunately, Liverpool don’t have that type of luxury in sq꧋uad depth. This makes managing players carefully all the more imp💃ortant.”
While Merson believes Liverpool can compete for the Premier League title this season, Steve Nicol thinks Liverpool are still behind Arsenal and Manches🦄ter𒅌 City, at least for the time being.

Liverpool have looked quite good under Slot 🔴so fa𝔍r and have adapted well to his tactics.
While it looked like a transition season could be on the cards after Jurgen Klopp’s departure, those fears have been put to bed in double quꦰick time.
Slot has been described as an obsessive tactician with a keen eye for detail🔯, and his work in the training ground is clearly paying dividends.
If Liverpool carry on performing likeℱ this, another Premier League charge could ꦛbe on the cards at Anfield.
