Paul Merson has criticised Everton duo Jordan Pickford and Yerry Mina, who he feels have been a disappointment this season at Goodison Park.
Pickford, 25, is the outright number one for both the Toffees and also England, with the highlight of his career so far coming in the 2018 World Cup by reaching a semi-final.
The shot-stopper has been a consistent performer for the Merseyside club since he joined from Sunderland, but a few individual errors have let him down so far this campaign.
He’s going to be under the spotlight for any mistakes he makes and is good enough to regain his form.
Meanwhile, Mina had a difficult first year with Everton last season that saw him struggle with form and also injuries.
The 25-year-old centre-back has played every minute in the league so far this campaign alongside Michael Keane and been inconsistent.
He started the new campaign in decent touch, but has been involved in a team struggling of late and he netted an own goal in the defeat to Sheffield United.
Sky Sports pundit Merson has admitted he’s never been the biggest admirer of Colombian enforcer Mina.
“Everton need to get going. They haven’t come from behind to win a game once since [Marco] Silva took over, and the results have been poor,”
“Jordan Pickford has not saved them many points this season. He’s actually been at fault for a few goals. And I’ve never been Yerry Mina’s biggest fan.”

TBR’s View:
Pickford is good enough to overcome any problems in goal and over the course of the season should win Everton more points than he will lose them.
Meanwhile, the jury is still out on Mina at centre-back and he still has to prove that he is Premier League quality.
The South American defender has the attributes to be a success in English football and manager Silva should stick with him in the heart of defence for now.
