Patrick Bamford’s three-word reaction after Rodrigo’s injury playing for Leeds last night
Rodrigo was forced off by injury in the first half of Leeds United’s 1-1 draw with Everton at Elland Road last night.
The Spanish international has started the season on fire but collided with Jordan Pickford and was substituted clutching his shoulder.
That is a blow for Jesse Marsch, for whom the Spaniard had become a key player already this season and the Whites were unable to overcome Frank Lampard’s men.
The injury stretches Leeds’ attacking options, with Patrick Bamford only working his way back to full fitness after injury.

Bamford reacts to Rodrigo injury for Leeds
Rodrigo took to Instagram to post about his injury, saying that he hopes to return rapidly from the setback and get back playing.
Bamford was among the players in the comments wishing his fellow forward well and of course the England man knows all about battling back from injuries.
Jack Harrison also sent a message and there may well now be a burden on the wideman to offer more goals and assists in Rodrigo’s absence.

Bamford did come off the bench to try and help Leeds win the game. He had an opportunity but Leeds had to settle for a draw.
Marsch will not want to rush Bamford back into contention and risk yet another setback, so Leeds may need to dip into the market before the deadline now.
They chased Charles De Ketelaere this summer, but the Belgian elected to go to AC Milan instead, which may be an even more frustrating situation if Rodrigo is out for a significant period of time and Leeds struggle for firepower.
