Patrick Bamford says he’s never seen anyone do what one Liverpool player is capable of
Patrick Bamford has suggested that he has never seen another player do what one Liverpool star is capable of.
Liverpool so nearly sent Jurgen Klopp out in the perfect way this past season, with the Reds spending much of the campaign battling on four fronts, including in the Premier League title race.
Ultimately, they would fall short in three competitions, but there is clearly plenty of promise for Arne Slot to build on as he prepares to succeed the German at Anfield.
One of the players Slot is surely going to build his team around is Trent Alexander-Arnold, with the 25-year-old enjoying an amazing season in that more inverted role in the Liverpool defence.
Patrick Bamford amazed by what Trent Alexander-Arnold does
Alexander-Arnold has come in for a lot of criticism during his time in the Liverpool team given the talent that he clearly possesses. But there is absolutely no question that the academy graduate is outrageously gifted on the ball. He has been directly involved in exactly 100 goals for Liverpool during his career.
In fact, speaking on , Patrick Bamford suggested that Alexander-Arnold has an important role to play for England at Euro 2024, as he lauded his passing ability.

“It’s a toss up between Kyle Walker and Trent at right-back,” he said, while discussing what team he would pick.
“He’s so good as well, I’ve never seen anyone pass the ball like that.
“He will [play], at some point. He will.”
Some concerned about role Liverpool star will have at Euro 2024
Despite the praise for Alexander-Arnold, some have expressed concern about the role he will play in this summer’s tournament.
There does appear to be a chance that he will join Declan Rice in midfield, with Gareth Southgate seemingly keen to remove some of the responsibility of defending from his shoulders.
Wayne Rooney has suggested that while he loves Alexander-Arnold, he does not want to see him in midfield as he believes that he will be all over the place.
However, Alexander-Arnold’s passing ability is surely going to be so important, particularly in the early stages with England expected to go a long way. Teams now know that sitting in is probably the best way to try and contain the Three Lions, so those inch-perfect passes may be required.
And, as Bamford suggests, no-one does it better than Alexander-Arnold.
