Patrice Evra on the ‘little worry’ he has about Tottenham star Hugo Lloris

Tottenham Hotspur have been held to a 1-1 draw by Crystal Palace in the Premier League.

Jose Mourinho’s side took the lead through Harry Kane thanks to a misjudgement from Palace goalkeeper Vicente Guaita, but levelled in the second-half through Jeffrey Schlupp.

Palace weathered a late storm from the visitors, with Guaita making a string of superb saves to atone for his earlier error.

Spurs probably didn’t do enough to take all three points, but will be pleased they didn’t come away from the game empty-handed and that their unbeaten run is still intact.

That said, there will be a frustration on Spurs’ part with the way they conceded their goal, with Hugo Lloris not covering himself in much glory.

The £100,000-a-week France international () spilled Eberi Eze’s free-kick, and Sky Sports pundit Patrice Evra believes the 33-year-old’s lack of command is a concern.

: “I think Lloris is a great goalkeeper, but he’s always staying on his line.

“Sometimes I want him to come and claim the ball, or punch the ball away, even after the incident. That’s my little worry.

“He has a good reaction on his line, but sometimes I don’t see him coming out for a corner or a free-kick.”

TBR’s View – A rare Lloris error

He’s dropped some clangers in the past, but since returning from the awful arm injury he suffered against Brighton last season, Lloris has been extremely consistent.

If anything, perhaps the way this goal was conceded will prompt Lloris to refocus.

And maybe, as his former France teammate Evra suggests he should, he’ll be a bit more aggressive in terms of dealing with set-pieces going forwards.
