Path now clear for Aston Villa to beat Arsenal to ‘generational’ talent likened to Jude Bellingham
TBR Football can exclusively confirm that the path is clear for Aston Villa to beat Arsenal to the signing of a young talent likened to Jude Bellingham and Steven Gerrard.
Aston Villa and Arsenal have both enjoyed solid seasons so far and remain in the picture to win silverware in the coming weeks.
The Villans, who enjoyed a heroic run to the Champions League quarter-finals, remain in the FA Cup semi-finals, where they’ll meet Crystal Palace.
Meanwhile, the Gunners are in the Champions League semi-finals, with a tie against Villa’s conquerors Paris Saint-Germain on the cards.
Villa and Arsenal are also among the favourites to qualify for the Champions League next season, which means they’ll be able to attract the best players in the market.
The Villans are currently on course to win the race for a prodigious young midfielder who has all the makings of a future superstar.

Rosenborg talks with Aston Villa over Sverre Nypan not expected to be an issue
TBR Football chief correspondent Graeme Bailey has confirmed that Rosenborg starlet Sverre Nypan has made his choice as to his future – and Villa are the club he has chosen.
TBR Football previously revealed that Villa had been in talks with Nypan and were confident of getting a deal over the line.
Now, the Villans have all-but agreed a deal with Nypan, and next for them will be talks with Rosenborg – which are not expected to be an issue.
TBR Football sources understand that it was always a case of whoever agrees terms with Nypan gets him – therefore, Villa’s path to sign him is now pretty much clear.
Indeed, Rosenborg’s director has admitted that whoever signs Nypan will fetch the club a hefty fee – TBR Football sources previously confirmed this would be under £20million.

Graeme Bailey shares what Aston Villa fans could expect from Sverre Nypan
Bailey believes Villa are set to strike gold if they manage to beat Arsenal to the signing of Nypan.
“I see him as one of those generational talents, he is that good,” Bailey exclusively told TBR Football.
“We know Man United were all over him when he was 16, whilst Villa are now battling Arsenal and Manchester City for him – that tells us everything we need to know.
“He has been likened to Martin Odegaard for much of his career, which is an easy comparison to make – they both possess passing ability handed down by the Gods of Football.
“Some see him as a number 10 but I think he is that proper 8 – more like a Gerrard, Lampard or Bellingham than an Odegaard for me, someone who arrives in the box when needed.
“He really is a top talent. He can do anything.
“And I think Villa is a fascinating choice made by the lad – Monchi and Unai Emery are as good as it gets in terms of recruitment and ideas in English football at the moment.”
