‘Part of the solution’: Jesse Marsch suggests 29-year-old Leeds United player will get plenty of game time in weeks ahead
Leeds United manager Jesse Marsch has suggested that Patrick Bamford is going to be playing more in the next few weeks.
Leeds took the lead against Crystal Palace yesterday afternoon, a wonderful run from Brenden Aaronson led to Pascal Struijk’s goal.
However, Palace turned it around, with goals from Odsonne Edouard and Eberechi Eze earning Patrick Vieira’s side a valuable win.

It means Leeds now haven’t won in five league matches, and haven’t been able to capitalise on a strong start to the season.
Marsch’s side have had their injury worries, but Rodrigo Moreno and Bamford are now available again.
However, neither were able to get on the score sheet, and Leeds will need them both firing to start picking up results.
Bamford will play more in the coming weeks
Marsch praised his number nine after the match, but admitted Bamford still had to things to work on.
“Patrick (Bamford) with his fitness and health now, needs to add sharpness and game readiness.”
“Obviously, it was big for him to play that many minutes and look good, and feel good.
“And we know that he’ll be part of the solution of us finding goals.”
Bamford has already proved he’s capable of scoring plenty of goals in the Premier League.
After helping Leeds return to the top flight, he scored 17 times the following season.

However, injuries decimated his game time last season, managing less than 600 minutes of league football.
Bamford has made six appearances this season, but only started three games and has yet to score his first league goal.
He proved in training last week that he’s capable of pulling off outrageous finishes.
Tyler Adams also admitted that Bamford has helped him settle in a lot since arriving this summer, and is a ‘top’ player.
Bamford now needs to turn this obvious quality into goals, and will be playing a lot more in the coming weeks to gain that sharpness.
Leeds face the Premier League’s in-form side at the weekend as Arsenal visit Elland Road.
It would be a brilliant time for Bamford to finally open his account this season.
