Paratici lauds Dejan Kulusevski following his Tottenham loan move

Fabio Paratici has told that Dejan Kulusevski is a really big prospect, and claimed that his ambition is the most important attribute the January signing has.

Kulusevski was one of two players to join Tottenham on the final day of the January transfer window. He has arrived on an 18-month loan that could become permanent based on certain criteria.

It looks to be an exciting move from Spurs. He has had 30 goal involvements in 94 Serie A appearances during his career to date. And at 21 years of age, there is scope for the Sweden international to improve considerably in the future.

Certainly, Paratici has extremely high hopes for the attacker. And, in an interview in the wake of the January window closing, he shared what he believes to be the most important component of Kulusevski’s game.

“Dejan is just 21, with 10 goals and 10 assists for Juventus so he’s a really good prospect but also he is ready to play because he also played 35 games in Parma and he scored a lot. He’s really a big prospect in Europe,” he told .

“Both of the players have a lot of character, a lot of intensity. Dejan is a forward but he runs a lot, he fights a lot, he has a lot of personality, a big personality. He is very ambitious and this is the most important skill that he has.”

Tottenham signing Kulusevski definitely has potential to be an amazing piece of business

There is an element of risk attached to signing Kulusevski. Obviously, the fact the deal is an initial loan means that it is not necessarily game-changing for Spurs if the move does not work out.

But Tottenham brought only two players in in January. So clearly, they really need the deals for Kulusevski and Rodrigo Bentancur to work out.

Kulusevski was not playing regularly for Juventus. He left having only made five starts in Serie A this season. But he is certainly a bright talent.

The move definitely has the potential to be a masterstroke. And in many ways, it is looking imperative for Paratici that it does.

Paratici’s track record since arriving in the Premier League has been mixed. And there were high hopes for January following the appointment of Antonio Conte.

The window did not go entirely to plan for Tottenham. It surely says a lot that their two signings only came in on deadline day.

Nevertheless, Kulusevski still looks a good addition. And soon, Tottenham fans will have a better idea of how they can really reflect on the window.
