Report: Paratici has been on a personal scouting mission to sign ‘incredible’ £15m player for Tottenham
Tottenham Hotspur are going to be one of the busiest clubs around this summer when it comes to both incomings and outgoings.
Antonio Conte is wanting a host of new players to help aide his Champions League charge, while he also hopes to get Spurs challenging Manchester City and Liverpool at the summit. Of course, Tottenham are already said to be close to signing Ivan Perisic, with the player in London for a medical today.
But Spurs’ quest for new blood is just getting started and more players will follow Perisic. One of which could be Nottingham Forest promotion star, Djed Spence. According to , Spence features high on Tottenham’s list of potential signings. And interestingly, the player has been watched in person by none other than Spurs transfer supremo, Fabio Paratici.

The Italian is said to have been to see Spence live in action to get a closer look. Of course, he’s bound to have been impressed, given Spence’s excellent season in the Championship with Forest.
Lauded as ‘incredible’ for his performance against Arsenal in the FA Cup this year, Spence is expected to fetch between £10-15m for his home club, Middlesbrough.
TBR’s View: Djed Spence Could Grow At Tottenham But There’s Risks Involved
There is no doubting Spence has the athletic capabilities to shine in the Premier League. He’s big, strong, and quick and as a right-back, must be a nightmare to play against.
However, he is also still a raw talent. Tottenham want players who are ready to go right now and there’s a question over whether he’d do a better job than Emerson or Matt Doherty as things stand. With that, there is a risk for both Spurs and Spence with this transfer.
Conte would get to work with Spence obviously. But he’d need to hit the ground running, and might well be better looking to push through a move to Forest.
