Page reacts to Davies and Rodon displays in Wales draw
Rob Page that he thought that Ben Davies was outstanding as Wales drew with Belgium on Tuesday, while he also lauded Tottenham Hotspur teammate Joe Rodon.
Page’s men secured the result that they needed to wrap up second spot in their World Cup qualifying group. They had initially gone behind to Roberto Martinez’s side, thanks to a stunning finish from Kevin De Bruyne.

But Wales hit back. Kieffer Moore scored the vital goal that ensured that Wales will be seeded for the play-off round ahead of Qatar 2022.
The home side played some superb football in Cardiff and arguably looked more likely to get a crucial winner.

But they also defended brilliantly. And following the game, Page lauded both of the Tottenham players in the backline, with just one word used to sum up the display of Davies.
“I thought defensively tonight, Ben Davies was outstanding,” . “Joe Rodon, not playing at club level, he turns up, he puts the jersey on and he plays like that.”
Tottenham pair Davies and Rodon shine in hugely successful international break
Moore was the only player to win more aerial duels than Davies. Meanwhile, the versatile centre-back also made four clearances. No Welsh player completed more passes than the 28-year-old, .
Rodon was lauded on social media following Wales’ win over Belarus last week. And he will be hoping that another strong showing for his country has sent a message to Antonio Conte.
The 24-year-old has only made one Premier League appearance this term. But he has surely staked a claim for more opportunities, particularly given that one of his Spurs teammates was alongside him for Wales.
Certainly, it is appears to be difficult to think of how the international break could have been much more successful for both players.
