Pablo Zabaleta confirms West Ham exit, Newcastle star responds
Pablo Zabaleta has sent a heartfelt message to West Ham United supporters on Twitter after it was confirmed the Argentine right-back would be leaving the Hammers this summer – and plenty of players have reacted.
Zabaleta, 35, is out of contract at the end of June after three years with the Hammers. This season, he has lost his place in the West Ham side to the likes of Ryan Fredericks and youngster Jeremy Ngakia.
Despite teenager Ngakia also expected to leave in the coming weeks, Zabaleta has not seen his contract renewed and the former Manchester City star is due to leave next week. He clocked up 79 outings for the Hammers.
Zabaleta, a two-time Premier League champion, took to Twitter to thank West Ham fans for their support. It remains to be where Zabaleta will end up next, though a return to his home country could well be his next move.
After three great years I’II be leaving at the end of this month. Thanks for the memories and the fans for their support. I wish this great club all the best in the future! ⚒ 👋

Zabaleta is one three players that are expected to leave West Ham this summer, along with fellow right-back Ngakia and another South American in the form of Colombian midfielder Carlos Sanchez.
Newcastle defender Federico Fernandez reacted to Zabaleta’s post on Twitter, claiming the best is yet to come. Declan Rice and Jose Fonte also commented on West Ham’s official Instagram post.
Grande Zaba lo mejor para lo que viene 💪
