Pablo Mari will leave Arsenal; deal agreed with Monza – Romano
Pablo Mari will leave Arsenal imminently with Fabrizio Romano that an initial loan has been agreed with Monza.
Mari’s departure has been on the cards for some time. He spent the second-half of last season on loan with Udinese. And Mikel Arteta has not had the Spaniard in his plans this term.

A return to Italy has looked likely. And it seems that the centre-back is on the verge of moving to Monza.
Romano has reported that a deal is now done. Mari will head to northern Italy on loan. Monza however, will make the move permanent should they manage to remain in Serie A this coming year.

Here is Romano’s latest update on the 28-year-old’s future…
Arsenal are set to complete another outgoing after Lucas Torreira. Pablo Marí leaves the club and joins Italian Serie A side Monza, full agreement now reached – it’s done. 🚨🔴

Pablo Mari will leave Arsenal
Arsenal will welcome the chance to offload Mari. He was arguably a very decent signing when he came in. And he produced some impressive performances for the Gunners, particularly in the early stages of his spell.
Mikel Arteta described the former Manchester City man as a ‘‘. So it is a shame that the move simply has not worked out.
But this appears to be a good resolution for all concerned. The Gunners have moved a first-team player off the wage bill ahead of the final stages of the summer transfer window.
Meanwhile, Mari will get the chance to potentially find a permanent home with Monza. Certainly, they have made some exciting moves following their promotion last season.
Arsenal fans will hope that the departures of the likes of Mari and Lucas Torreira help open the door for a new signing. Obviously, the Gunners have not received huge fees for either.
But their wages have been moved on. And there are now spaces in the squad to fill.
