Ozil delivers passionate stance on European Super League after Arsenal inclusion, some fans respond

Arsenal fans have taken to Twitter to praise former playmaker Mesut Ozil after the 32-year-old midfielder posted his thoughts on the European Super League on social media.

As , Arsenal, along with the rest of the ‘Big Six’ of the Premier League as well as some of European football’s biggest clubs, have agreed to form a European Super League separate from the UEFA Champions League, with 12 teams signed up to compete in this breakaway competition.

The response since the news broke has been overwhelmingly negative, with fans and pundits all bashing the idea of a closed-shop Super League which has the potential to change European football forever, and Ozil’s response has been well received by Arsenal supporters on social media, who agreed with what the former Germany international had to say on the matter.
