Ozan Kabak says Liverpool have a top player in their ranks who’s ‘so good’ at his job
Liverpool defender Ozan Kabak has waxed lyrical about Reds teammate Virgil van Dijk for both his efforts on the pitch and how he’s been helping his colleagues off it.
The Dutchman, one of Liverpool’s top players, has been battling back from a long-term anterior cruciate ligament injury suffered in the Merseyside derby last October.
Van Dijk has been a big miss for a Liverpool side which has struggled to hit the heights of the last couple of years and currently sits four points outside the Premier League’s top four.

However, Kabak revealed how the 29-year-old has been helpful to him and his teammates even though he’s out injury, giving them tips about how to help their game.
“As a defender, I think you need to smell the danger and you need to see it before it happens,” he told the Liverpool .
“I don’t know how it’s called in English but you need to guess where’s the danger and you need to go there and cover. You need to be intelligent. That’s exactly what I’m trying to do but it’s about experience, too, I think.
“Our friend Virgil, for example, is so good at this job. He does it very well because he’s a really experienced guy and he knows this football. So I tried to do my best and game by game I think I got better on this.
“[Van Dijk] gave me small tips about our football mentality. I think defenders understand each other better and he came with some small tips about how we play or what I need to do. It helps [my] game.
“I analyse every striker before the game with the video analysis. I ask the guys who work in here [for] their videos and I work on it.”
Liverpool are next in action on Sunday when they face Manchester United at Old Trafford in the Premier League.
