What Jermain Defoe has said about Mikey Moore

Hargreaves shared what he’s been told by Jermain Defoe about Mikey Moore at Tottenham.

Moore is just 17 years old, but even two years ago Defoe was telling Hargreaves that this young man is a special talent.

“Look at Mikey Moore, he’s coming on. Jermain Defoe told me about him two years ago, he said ‘Owen, this kid is special.’ So it’s great to get him on and get some reps. Sometimes these young kids have no fear and play with courage when other players feel the pressure. He’s a terrific player, he’s going to be a star,” Hargreaves said.

Tottenham’s young prospects

Moore has been tipped for big things at Tottenham, and he’s not the only bright prospect at Spurs.

Indeed, Tottenham have a number of teenage talents who look set to become stars.

Gray and Bergvall are already making first-team impacts at Tottenham, and there’s more where that came from within Spurs’ ranks.

Alfie Dorrington is rated internally by Spurs, Luka Vuskovic looks like a future star already, while Will Lankshear’s goalscoring record at youth level speaks for itself.

Moore is the jewel in the crown in terms of young players at Spurs right now, and as Hargreaves says, if all goes to plan, this young man is going to be a star.

It’s easy for Tottenham fans to feel defeated by the state of the club right now, but if these young players can all blossom and reach their potential, Spurs should be able to get back to where they belong.
