‘Outstanding’ Tottenham prospect likely to be loaned out once Lucas Bergvall arrives
Tottenham Hotspur are expected to send Jamie Donley out on loan in the summer with Lucas Bergvall set to join.
The Lilywhites made the exciting signing of the Swedish youngster, Lucas Bergvall, in January with his arrival set for the summer.
But the midfielder’s arrival is now expected to see opportunities for Jamie Donley hindered under Ange Postecoglou.

Jamie Donley’s Tottenham future
It has been an encouraging season for the 19-year-old Tottenham prospect who has excelled in Wayne Burnett’s U21s side.
Spurs sit top of the Premier League 2 table and Donley has played a huge part of their impressive campaign.
His performances this season has seen Postecoglou hand him some cameo displays off the bench in the Premier League.
However, speaking on his , Alasdair Gold expects Donley to leave on loan over the summer with Bergvall set to arrive: ‘I’d imagine Jamie [Donley] out of those [Lucas Bergvall & Alfie Devine] will probably will have to go out on loan. It depends on the circumstances, you never know. There could be injuries, he could just be incredible in pre-season and they say, ‘I’m not letting that guy go’.
‘But you would imagine, especially with Alfie Devine who’s very talented, you can’t have all three of those at the club at the same time, they need to be playing minutes. So yeah, he’ll head out on loan.’

Lucas Bergvall goal
Over the weekend, Bergvall scored a stunning goal for Djurgarden as they progressed in the Swedish Cup.
This is a player who is arriving at Hotspur Way over the summer having snubbed one of the biggest clubs in the world, Barcelona.
Landing the 18-year-old was clearly a big addition for Spurs as they look to add to their options for the long-term.
However, it is seemingly expected to hinder the development of one of their own academy prospects in Donley.
Whilst Bergvall was scoring in Sweden, Donley set the stage alight at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Saturday.
The 19-year-old provided four assists as Tottenham U21s beat Fleetwood Town in the Premier League Cup.
Donley has been hailed in recent days as an ‘outstanding’ talent by journalist following that game in N17.
But it now seems his opportunities at Spurs next season may already be cut as Spurs are seemingly prioritising Bergvall’s arrival.
