‘Outstanding’ player still wants to leave Tottenham with Spurs just waiting for a bid to come in

Tottenham are hoping for some positive news in terms of more exits and one player is now actively pushing to leave the club.

Spurs boss Ange Postecoglou made no secret of his desire to see players moved on this summer as he looks to reshape his squad and go again next term.

For Postecoglou, that’s meant moving players on who are either surplus to requirements or simply saleable assets.

Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg has joined Marseille, while Bryan Gil is moving to Sevilla on a loan to buy agreement.

Of course, another player who is attracting interest from elsewhere is defender, Emerson Royal.

The Brazilian has interest from AC Milan.

However, according to journalist Ben Jacobs, the Italian club have yet to make that new approach as Tottenham sit and wait for the bid to arrive.

Tottenham waiting for new Emerson Royal bid

Taking to X to provide an update on the situation with Emerson Royal, journalist Jacobs has said that the defender is now pushing to move to Milan.

However, Spurs have had no further bids as yet and as it stands, they are simply waiting for that to arrive.

Despite being lauded by former interim Spurs boss Ryan Mason as an ‘‘ player, Royal has never really won over the Spurs fans or Postecoglou.

He did play an important role last season in playing a number of positions and providing cover.

However, when everyone is fit, Royal is down the pecking order and the summer signing of Archie Gray has only bumped him further down the list.

Now, it seems like Tottenham are simply wanting to get as much money in as they can for Royal.

Milan have previously bid less than £10m, which was rejected by Spurs.

But it is thought a deal in principle is close to being agreed now as Spurs look to fetch closer to the £20m mark for Emerson Royal.
