‘Outstanding’… Neil Lennon shares who he thinks has been Celtic’s Player of the Season so far

One thing Celtic’s win over Feyenoord seems to have done is to have lit a fire under the Celtic player’s backsides.

🌺Every single one of them was excellent during the whole ninety minutes at Celtic Park and every single one of them should hold their heads high.

But only one of them really impressed former Celtic boss Neil Lennon. The Irishman was speaking after the game and recalling Matt O’Riley‘s role꧙ in the winning goal, Lennon said that he is theꦬ best player in Scotland right now.

Lennon said [], “Has been unbelievable this season. I think that’s his third assist💟 now in the campaign.

“Domestically he has been scoring every week in the Premier League.

“Goals and assists he has been the most outstand🐈ing player for Celtic this year and probably the best player in Scotland this season.

“That was a piece♓ of class. T♔hat was real genuine quality there.”

There is no denying that O’Riley is a special talent. The Celtic midfielderꩵ has been ꦛsuperb for Brendan Rodgers not only on the domestic scene but also in Europe.

Against Atletico Madrid, O’Riley was named the Man of the Match as he helped gain a creditable draw against the La Liga side. And last night against ᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚ⁤⁤⁤⁤ᩚ⁤⁤⁤⁤ᩚ⁤⁤⁤⁤ᩚ𒀱ᩚᩚᩚFeyenoord, his performance was simply flawless.

His goals and assists꧙ across all competitions have kept Celtic as the team to watch in the league and Scottish Cup this season.

With another three games to go until♌ the New Year, the Celtic fans will be hoping that O’Riley can continue his excellent form and keep Celtic rooted firmly at the top of the league.
