‘Outstanding’ £18m Arsenal target has decided he wants to join PSG
Ahead of the transfer window slamming shut in just over two weeks’ time, there’s still plenty of work for Edu and Mikel Arteta to do at Arsenal in order to build a title-winning side.
Right now, departures will be equally as important as new arrivals for Arteta, who has already seen the benefits of Riccardo Calafiori’s Arsenal debut.
Calafiori was full of pace and enthusiasm and had the composure to match during his first few minutes in red.
Calafiori’s debut left Arsenal fans with an appetite for more – they’re keen to see who Edu and his team can deliver next.
Unfortunately, Arsenal’s deal for Mikel Merino is stalling, a saga that may go all the way until Deadline Day if the Gunners aren’t careful.
Real Sociedad have demonstrated their strong negotiating stance when ultimately convincing Martin Zubimendi to veto a move to Liverpool in the past few days.
That being said, it’s not just a midfielder who the Gunners are seeking, Arteta also wants a new wide forward.
And Arsenal now want Kingsley Coman on loan according to reports, who is free to leave Bayern Munich.
Arsenal target Kingsley Coman wants to join Paris Saint-Germain instead
Bayern are reportedly open to loaning Coman out for the season, a deal which could suit Arteta perfectly.
And after Darren Bent warned Arsenal against signing Coman, it seems as if a move to north London wouldn’t be the winger’s first choice anyway.

German journalist , who is close to all things Bayern, just shared an update on X detailing that Coman would like to return to PSG, his former club.
He shared: “In case he would leave FC Bayern until Deadline Day, Kingsley Coman would like to join Paris Saint-Germain!
“As revealed, there were already loose talks between the clubs but at this stage it’s not advanced because of the impending signing of Desire Doue.
“Barcelona remain an option. Man City interest still not concrete, MCFC just keeping an eye on his situation.”

All in all, it now appears pretty safe to say that Arsenal aren’t currently in the running for the , who would prefer a move elsewhere anyway.
Perhaps if the Gunners made a concerted effort then the ‘outstanding’ Frenchman may change his mind, but that’s pretty hypothetical at this stage.
