Divock Origi could be an ideal strike partner for Raul Jimenez at Wolves

Liverpool striker Divock Origi is being linked with a January move to Wolverhampton Wanderers.

, the Reds forward is a possible target for the powers that be at Molineux, with the Black Country club only able to call on two strikers at the moment.

The Mexico international, who is on loan from Benfica, has impressed so far with his work rate and bullish style, but he has only managed to score two goals for all his efforts.

Wolves, despite their relatively lofty position of 10th are actually struggling to score goals, and it looks as though they’ll need some reinforcements in January.

And Liverpool striker Origi could be ideal.

Origi and Jimenez could be quite complementary

Given his physical attributes, Jimenez is quite effective at coming deep and holding the ball up.

It could be in Wolves’ best interests to sign Origi, who likes to spring the offside trap with runs in behind.

The Belgian forward can play anywhere up top , but playing off of Jimenez could really suit both him and the Mexican.

Nuno Espirito Santo needs to address the goalscoring issue – if it is still an issue – in January.

The defence has stood firm so far but that could all come undone very quickly.

Origi has something to prove after losing his way at Anfield, and playing with Jimenez at Wovles could be the perfect fit for him.
