Opinion: Spurs youngster Jack Clarke might be best served spending time with Jose Mourinho
Jose Mourinho and Spurs appear to have come to the decision to recall Jack Clarke from his loan spell with Leeds United.

claim that Spurs have come to a decision over Clarke. The teenager sealed a permanent move to the Premier League giants in the summer. However, he was allowed to stay at Elland Road this term.
But, with Leeds flying high once again, Clarke has found first-team chances hard to come by under Marcelo Bielsa.
Clarke has made just three appearances all season for the Whites. Two of those came in the League Cup, while he has also failed to come off the bench in the last five fixtures.
Now, with Mourinho set to bring him back to London, what might the future hold for the youngster?
Stay put and learn from the best
Make no mistake about it, Jose Mourinho is still one of the very best in the business. He might have had a torrid end to his time at Manchester United but, in terms of success, the trophies speak for themself.

He’s come under fire at times in the past for his seeming lack of faith in youth. However, it’s easy to forget that Mourinho put his trust in a number of younger players at Chelsea. The likes of Joe Cole flourished under his guidance, for example.
Similarly, at Manchester United, Marcus Rashford and Scott McTominay were both key men for the Portuguese coach.
With that in mind, then, Jack Clarke might well benefit from staying with Spurs.
Much to learn
Yes, game time will be limited, but what’s the point in another loan move if he isn’t going to be playing? No Championship club is going to guarantee him that right. Therefore, he might as well stay and train with better players, under a true managerial great.

Of course, there is every chance Clarke does go back out on loan. If this is the case, Jose Mourinho and Spurs must make sure that the move is tailored to Jack Clarke as much as possible.
