‘Open to offers’… Celtic are willing to let ‘really powerful’ player leave on deadline day
With the Celtic fans expecting to see some new faces this deadline day, it seems the club are now actively looking to move on a number of players before the closure of the transfer window.
TBR Celtic told yesterday how Cardiff City are looking to tie up a deal for David Turnbull and how Marco Tilio has sealed a deal to move on loan back to his old club, Melbourne FC.
And now, it seems that Celtic are willing to allow club legend, James Forrest, leave the club today.
Journalist, Alex Crook, said the club are ‘open to offers’ as he delivered this update this morning.
Crook said on , “Busy day of exits at #Celtic with David Turnbull set to join and Mikey Johnston moving to #WBA on loan.
“Also told they are open to offers for long-serving James Forrest.”
Celtic fans will thank James Forrest for his service
The legendary winger has been one of the stalwarts over Celtic’s domination of Scottish football over the past fifteen years.
Making his first team debut in 2010, the 32-year-old scored a debut goal against Motherwell in a 4-0 win and has never looked back.
Helping Celtic to a raft of domestic honours, Forrest has scored in every single season that he has played in for the Hoops.

With 11 SPFL league titles, seven Scottish Cups and seven League Cups, Forrest is one of Celtic’s most decorated players in the club’s history.
Described as ‘really powerful‘ by former Celtic man Charlie Mulgrew, the 32-year old has donned the green and white Hoops on 485 occasions scoring 104 goals and creating 101 assists. []
A true legend at Celtic, the supporters will wish him well if he does get a deadline day move out of Parkhead.
