‘Oozes class’, ‘smart in the tackle’: Liverpool-linked midfielder wows for his country on Wednesday

Reported Liverpool transfer target Jude Bellingham was superb for England on Wednesday night.

The 17-year-old is on Liverpool’s radar as a potential summer target, according to .

Bellingham has made 46 appearances for Borussia Dortmund in all competitions this season.

He has also won three caps for England, and Gareth Southgate started him against Austria at Wembley.

At 17 years and 338 days, Bellingham became the youngest player to start an England game since Wayne Rooney against Liechtenstein in 2003.

And he did really well, earning plaudits from the English media.

“Phenomenal”

In his press conference on Tuesday, Gareth Southgate hinted that Jude Bellingham will have a significant role to play at Euro 2020.

“Jude is phenomenal,” Southgate told .

“Just in training in the last couple of days, to have a 17-year-old, who wants to compete with senior players, not only has the technique, but the competitiveness and maturity… he’s a hugely exciting player.

“He’s going to be an important player for England. We’re not just taking him for the experience.
