One winner and one loser from potential Domagoj Vida to Liverpool deal
Liverpool are reportedly closing in on the signing of Croatian World Cup star Domagoj Vida.
As the Reds have sent a delegation to Turkey to secure the signature of the centre-back. The player is rated at £26.7 million by the Turkish side, who only signed him in January on a free transfer from Dynamo Kiev.
His arrival would be another mammoth spend from Liverpool, who have signed Naby Keita, Fabinho, Xherdan Shaqiri and made Alisson the world’s most expensive goalkeeper.
But who would benefit and who would not from his arrival?

Winner- Alisson
Undoubtedly, Dejan Lovren will love the idea of playing with his international team-mate but the likelihood is one of the Croatians will actually partner Virgil van Dijk at the back.
The person who benefits the most in this case then is Alisson, Liverpool’s £67 million new goalkeeper.
With the most expensive centre-back in the world and two World Cup finalists ahead of him between the sticks the Brazilian is going to have a good foundation to build on.
If they can keep out the offence as long as possible Alisson just needs to do the basics and make the odd smart save. If he can do that, he’s a winner.
Loser �Joel Matip
The move would surely spell the end for the Cameroonian at Anfield. The 26-year-old has already lost his starting spot at Anfield and could drop further down the pecking order.
Unlike Ragnar Klavan, who can do a job at left-back, Matip has no other strings to his bow.
Liverpool will, therefore, have no real need for Matip going forward.
The former Schalke man, who recently injured himself during pre-season, could lose out if Vida arrives.
