‘One of the strongest’: Sky journalist says Everton are pursuing World Cup ‘absolute star’ forward
Everton are one of the clubs with the “strongest” interest in Mohammed Kudus, according to Sky Sports journalist Gary Al-Smith.
The Toffees have been struggling on the attacking front this season. They are the joint second-lowest scorers in the Premier League.
Everton’s three main wingers, Dwight McNeil, Demarai Gray, and Anthony Gordon, have all failed to provide an assist this season.

With that in mind, Frank Lampard appears to be eyeing reinforcements on the flanks.
Kudus, one of the breakout stars of the 2022 World Cup, is apparently on the Everton radar.
And Al-Smith says the Toffees’ interest in the Ajax star is particularly strong.
“For Ghana, the absolute star of this World Cup has been Mohammed Kudus,” the Ghanaian journalist .
“And we know that three Premier League clubs are interested, with Everton being one of the strongest.”
As well as Everton, the likes of Arsenal and Tottenham are reportedly in pursuit of Kudus.
‘He is the main man now’
As his nation’s poster boy, there has been a lot of media attention on Kudus during the World Cup.
published an in-depth feature article on the 22-year-old ahead of Ghana’s last group game.
‘Ghana has a new hero and his name is Mohammed Kudus,’ they began.
‘Already impressing in the Champions League, his impact at this World Cup should be no surprise.
‘But what is unusual is the deep connection that he has with his supporters at home in Ghana.
‘He is the embodiment of a new type of player, a product of one of the finest academies in world football.
‘Not Ajax, the famous club for which he now plays, but Right to Dream, the academy in his homeland where he is now an inspiration for young people.’

Former Ghana star Derek Boateng then spoke about what makes Kudus so special.
“Kudus is massive here,” he said.
“Every time he is playing, it does not matter whether it is the Champions League or a friendly match, you will see all the kids get up and watch Kudus. Just Kudus.
“They just want him to score. When he scores, everyone is all over the place.
“The coach had to find someone to build the team around who he could trust. It is Kudus.
“What I like is his confidence. He goes on the field and he shows the world Kudus. He gives respect after the game but during the game, he goes all out.
“I love his bravery on the ball. He is powerful. He’s the total package and I am so glad that the coach recognises that.
“He is only 22 and has two or three World Cups after this. But he is the main man now.”
Sadly, Ghana were unable to make it into the last 16, Uruguay beating them 2-0 in their final group game.
However, Kudus certainly has a bright future ahead of him. And in terms of his club career, he’s definitely due a big move soon.
