One of the ‘greatest talents in Europe’ is now deciding to sign for Newcastle or stay with AC Milan

Newcastle United are looking for new signings and they could end up landing one of the most in-demand players in Europe.

The Magpies have added Lloyd Kelly and Odysseas Vlachodimos to their squad but manager Eddie Howe is looking to add further depth and quality.

One of the key areas for Howe and Newcastle is in defence.

Despite the addition of Kelly and the return of Sven Botman for next season, Howe is looking to have more options at his disposal in defence.

On that note, one player being linked with a move to Newcastle is Malick Thiaw.

Indeed, reports have claimed Thiaw is keen to join Newcastle, with a deal worth £38m being touted.

And according to reports from Italy, Thiaw is now very much deciding whether he wants to join Newcastle, or pursue a longer stay with AC Milan.

Malick Thiaw deciding over Newcastle and AC Milan

According to , AC Milan are in no rush to sell Thiaw and they would very much like to keep him.

It’s claimed that they have in no way made a push to see him move and that it is indeed the richest and temptation of the Premier League that is drawing Thiaw to England.

Of course, Newcastle will be able to pay a healthy fee to Milan for Thiaw and his wage packet will no doubt increase with the move.

Thiaw, then, is apparently weighing up his options and will decide if Newcastle is the way forward for him.

Interestingly, it’s suggested his agents have been pushing for the move for some time now, as far back as January.

has claimed Thiaw to be one of the ‘greatest talents in Europe’ and Eddie Howe is believed to be one of the key drivers behind Newcastle’s chase.

Newcastle, then, will be eagerly awaiting a response from Thiaw.
