‘One of the best’: Matteo Guendouzi hails Arsenal player following loan exit
Arsenal midfielder Matteo Guendouzi, who left the Emirates Stadium on loan yesterday, has paid tribute to Gunners teammate Mesut Ozil.
Guendouzi will spend the 2020-21 season with Hertha Berlin, with reporting that they’ll be covering his wages for the duration of the loan spell.
The 21-year-old joined Arsenal in 2018 from French outfit Lorient, the Gunners reportedly paying for his services, and he has clocked up 82 competitive club appearances to date.

However, he was frozen out at the Emirates Stadium in wake of an incident with Brighton striker Neal Maupay towards the end of their Premier League clash in June.
Likewise, Ozil has fallen out of favour under Mikel Arteta, with no competitive game time under his belt since the resumption of English football in June.
The two players have now been separated, with Guendouzi now in the German capital and Ozil still in London, and in wake of the Frenchman’s move, the two exchanged messages on social media.
Mi Bebeee ❤️ all the best for you in Germany. Show them that you're a great football player 💪🏼 Will miss you here Bro 🙏🏼

Guendouzi could make his Hertha debut on Saturday 17 October in the Bundesliga home game with Stuttgart, while Arsenal’s next game is on the same day, away at Manchester City.
