On top of Watkins and Luiz, Arsenal are now looking at another Aston Villa star
Unai Emery must be getting sick of Arsenal.
Not only was the Spaniard sacked by the Gunners a few years ago, but now, his former employers are looking at raiding his current club, Aston Villa.
Indeed, the Gunners have been linked with both Ollie Watkins and Douglas Luiz as of late, and now, they’re being linked with another Aston Villa star.
Speaking on , Chris Wheatley has claimed that Arsenal also like Jacob Ramsey and that he is a player Mikel Arteta has had an eye on for a little while.

Wheatley shared what he knows about the Aston Villa midfielder.
“We do know that Arsenal also like Aston Villa midfielder Jacob Ramsey. He is a player Mikel Arteta has kept an eye on for quite a while now, a really talented young player, more of an attacking midfielder than Luiz, but, interestingly, there is interest from the Gunners,” Wheatley said.
Would be brilliant
As much as Villa won’t want their star players continuously being linked with moves away, we can’t help but salivate at the thought of Ramsey playing under Arteta.
A player who is that technically brilliant playing under a coach who allows so much freedom at that age is so exciting.
Ramsey would be brilliant in numerous positions in this Arsenal side.
Of course, getting the midfielder out of Villa Park won’t be easy. He’s been earmarked as a star of the future in the Midlands for years, and he’s one of Emery’s favourite players by all accounts.
Villa are no pushovers, they’re gunning for a place in next season’s Champions League themselves, and it’s hard to imagine that Ramsey will be allowed to leave for anything other than a ridiculous transfer fee at this point.
This is certainly a situation to keep an eye on.
