‘On the verge of being completed’: Romano says Everton about to make ‘breathtaking’ signing
Fabrizio Romano has claimed that Idrissa Gueye is on the verge of sealing an Everton return.
The Toffees have been heavily linked with their former player over the past few weeks.
And today, speculation between Everton and Gueye has intensified massively.

This afternoon, reported that the 32-year-old is set to fly to England on Tuesday evening or Wednesday.
Gueye will reportedly sign a two-year deal at Goodison Park, with the option of an extra year.
And Paris Saint-Germain will apparently receive £8.6million for the Senegal international.
Later on, Romano took to Twitter to claim that Gueye to Everton is “on the verge of being completed”.
But the best suggestion that Gueye is closing in on a return to Goodison has come from the player himself.
This evening, Gueye has posted a picture of a view from an aeroplane on his Instagram stories.
“He’s a machine”
It will be a big boost for Everton if / when they get a move for their former player across the line.
He showed during his previous spell that he could be one of the best holding midfielders in the Premier League.
That form prompted PSG to spend to sign him.
While Gueye’s spell at the Parc des Princes hasn’t quite worked out, he remains an “” player.
Micah Richards recently claimed that Gueye would all-but guarantee that Everton would stay up.

He wrote in the : “If Everton get a deal done to bring Idrissa Gana Gueye back, there is not a hope of them being relegated.
“I played with Idrissa at Aston Villa and he’s a machine. He will do the work of two men – the running he can do is frightening.
“I saw him do a drill at Villa, during the middle of Ramadan and his stamina was breathtaking. He was literally running on empty but still beat everyone.”
