‘On my knees’: Tottenham fans delighted with Hugo Lloris contract news

Tottenham supporters have been getting their teeth into reports today that claim Hugo Lloris will indeed end up signing a new contract with the club.

There had been some concern that Lloris might move on, with Spurs signing Pierluigi Gollini in the summer and the Frenchman well into his 30s. However, according to , Lloris will now likely sign a new contract.

Currently, the experienced stopper is one of the club’s highest earners, on £100k-a-week.

Lloris, 34, has started every game this season and continues to be Tottenham skipper, even with Harry Kane at the club. He is key to Antonio Conte at the moment, and it’s believed Conte’s presence is a deciding factor in convincing Lloris to remain in North London. Indeed, the claims he rejected a move to Roma in the summer.

Spurs fans, then, have been reacting to the news on Twitter, and it seems to have down a treat among the Tottenham faithful.
